Shop Till You Drop...!!

Saturday, September 27th:
Hubby sent babies and me to Anchor Point Shopping Mall situated at Alexandra Road before he went to settle some errands within the area... So there I was strolling in the mall with my babies when I saw the "CHARLES & KEITH" shoes outlet and guess what... They were having this end-season sale for all shoes!! My goodness!! I was basically overwhelmed with joy!! Shoes going at 20% to 50% off their usual price!! So I bought myself 3 pairs of shoes and gosh, those shoes looked so nice and lovely!! So the hubby came back an hour later to fetch us up... Then here comes the best part... My conversation with hubby... Hee hee...
Hubby, "Ummi, so what did you buy kat Anchor Point tadi?"
Me, "Shoes..."
Hubby (while helping me out to carry the babies and my shopping stuffs), "So these are your shoes? You bought 2 pairs is it?"
Me, "Nope... I bought 3..."
Hubby, "What!! You bought 3 pairs!! Banyak nye..."
Me, "Ade sale... Price cut down from 20% to 50%... So the urge was there to buy like 3 pairs of shoes..."
Hubby (shooking his head), "Tsk... tsk... tsk... Itu ari baru beli bag... You bought 8 bags... Now shoes... Dahsyat betol la orang pompuan ni... Ummi, ummi... You and stuffs..."
Me (grinning at hubby), "Sorry... Can't help it... Terlalu cantek sangat..."
So finally, I got me some shoes... Alhamdulillah... Mwahahahahaha!! Suke aku!! We then headed down to Arab Street where we had our iftar there... Arab Street was way much more peaceful compared to Geylang Serai... There were less crowd... Less "mat and minah rep" (uncivilised teenagers with inappropriate dressings)... Alhamdulillah, the food was just nice for the both of us... So after iftar..., solat at the Sultan's Mosque... before we headed down to Singapore Expo where there's this "Great Robinson's Sale" going on... Both hubby and I we shopped like crazy!! Shopping lagi... Shopping lagi... Bought Asyura's 1st baby sandals... They looked so cute on her!! Met up with Mama Poi after that and chilled at her crib for a while before heading home... It was fun...
Sunday, September 28th:
Went to the Darul Ma'wa Orphanage where we donated some of our stuffs... Then, we headed down to Singapore Expo again... To the "Great Robinson's Sale"... Shopped AGAIN... Hubby bought some last minute stuffs before we had iftar at "Spize", Simpang Bedok... Ordered the usual thing... Food was incredibly delicious!! After that, we dropped by Wak Lan's crib to send some baby stuffs... Left for home quite early yesterday coz we both were feeling a bit tired... So yeah... Slept early...

Feeling Stressed Out...!!
Ya Ramadhan...
In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Kind
A blessed month is casting its shadow upon us
A night of this month is better than a thousand months
Bear with patience for the sake of Ar-Rahman
It's a continuous training to strengthen our Imaan
Glory be to Allah who sent Ramadhan as a mercy to mankind
It's a purification of our soul, our heart, and our mind
With the most sincere devotion and love we fast
To be cleansed and free from sins of the past
Glorified is He, who choseth this holy month,
To test our sabr and fill our hearts with warmth
Of His Divine Light, His blessings shall glow,
The Seer of the unseen, all He does know
Ya Allah!! For thee, let my breath be more pleasant than musk
Ya Allah!! For thee, let me be thankful when day turns to dusk
My thoughts and heart are purified, my eyes truly see...
This blessed month, the month of spiritual rhapsody!!
Ya Allah!! For thee, my life I shall live!!
Ya Allah!! For thee, my soul I shall give!!
In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Kind,
Praise be to Allah, who sent Ramadhan as a gift to mankind

I'm Feeling Very Happy Today...!!

To Lala: I'm gonna be giving your bagssssss soon darling... Be meeting up with you one of these days... Your belated birthday presentsssssss!! Suke tak?
I want to share another good news with y'all... My little baby Asyura is learning how to walk using her baby walker!! Awwwwwwww... So cute...!!
And just last Sunday, I had taken my 2 lovely babies for a visit to my 1st bro in-law's crib in the evening... They, plus my parents in-law, have not been seeing the babies for quite some time so yeah, dropped by for a while and had a little chit chat...

You know, I'm actually pretty impressed with the service given by BORDERS & KINOKUNIYA Bookstores. I called in earlier enquiring on a book titled, International Finance (3rd Edition) by Pilbeam K and the response that I got was so polite and very FRIENDLY... :) Their staffs should be given a credit for super good customer service...!!
By the way, can anyone of you tell me where can I get the above-mentioned book coz frankly,I had a hard time finding it... pfft...
News about the China Milk's Scandal: China Authorities said that nearly 53,000 children had been sickened and over 12,000 children had remained in the hospital. More countries had made a move to ban or recall Chinese dairy imports...
I really think those criminal should deserve a very harsh punishment for their wrongdoings... Pity them, children... :(

China's Formula Milk Scam & Possibilty Of A Tsunami In Singapore...
You know... I'm actually very pissed when I read about the news article on the recent China's Baby Formula Milk scam that had left 4 INNOCENT BABIES DEAD and MORE THAN 6,200 OTHERS SERIOUSLY ILL... I was shocked to hear that they actually used chemical melamine in the making of milk powders, regular milks, yogurts and even in ice creams? OMFG!! Where have all their brains gone to (to their asses maybe)?
For God's sake!! You're talking about innocent lives here!! They, the freaking criminals, have the freaking guts to sell contaminated milk products even though THEY knew that it's not right to do that!!
For God's sake!! There are babies suffering with kidney stones, failures to pass urine as well as vomiting and leaving four other babies dead!!
They are freaking heartless people who should be given severe punishment by the Chinese Government... Arresting them won't do any good... They don't deserve to live!! They deserve to be sentenced to death and there should be a public trial for this...
It's not a value for money instead it's a value for the innocent lives of thousands of babies suffering from their selfish wrongdoings!! They've crushed the hopes and dreams of parents!! I feel so so sorry for those parents who have lost their babies thru all of this... I feel so so sorry for those parents who had to see their young child suffering from illnesses caused by this Milk Product scam... I really really do... I know how it feels coz I'm a parent too... Insya'allah... Justice will prevail...
So I read another news article about this possibility of a tsunami in Singapore should there be an earthquake just like the ones had in Bandar Aceh, Indonesia a few years back. Professor Wong Poh Poh of the National University of Singapore, Geography department said that the island can be hit by a tsunami generated from three locations and the waves could damage coastal infrastructure without being too high.
"It’s not that we are totally immune. No, we are not immune," Wong said.
He was speaking at a news conference to launch a report, by the aid and development organisation World Vision, on the impact of climate change on poor people.
To cause damage, waves hitting Singapore need not be as huge as the ones that devastated Indonesia’s Aceh in December 2004, killing 168,000 people, Wong said.
Aceh was struck by a wave about 10 metres (33 feet) high.
"We don’t need 10 metres. The problem with Singapore is... we have a lot of infrastructure on the coast. All you need is a very low wave to just come in and hit certain areas," he said.
"Changi Airport will be very vulnerable," he said, adding the man—made island of Jurong which houses a sprawling petrochemical complex is also at risk, and urged the government to commission a study on tsunamis. — AFP

Asil Learns To Count, Our Supper & Happy Birthday Syafiq!!

I was supposed to have a meet up with one of my cousin (from the dad's side of the family) yesterday, but something came up on her side and so the whole meet up thing was cancelled... pfft... We'll probably meet for a nice chat some other day perhaps...
So after the Isyak prayer, I decided to go for a walk with my little Asil at Northpoint Shopping Mall... Left little Asyura with the mom coz she's asleep... I tell you, I think almost 70% of that place (the mall ) is under renovation... Most shop outlets were closed!! Gosh!! The freaking place looked like a 'ghost mall'!! I then decided to give little Asil an ice cream treat and therefore I brought him to Mc Donald's where we enjoyed a cup of 'Oreo Mc Flurry' ice cream... Yummy!! You should've seen the look on his face when he saw the ice cream...
On our way back, we dropped by the NTUC Supermarket where I bought some stuffs... By the way, I've got a little good news that I would like to share with you guys... Little Asil knows how to count numbers 1 to 10 already!! Alhamdulillah... I'm so very proud of him... At the age of 1 year and 9 months, he knows how to count!! Imagine how proud both hubby and I were...
This is how he counts his numbers in baby-talk... "Wan, Too, Tee, Fo, Fai, Shiks, Wei-wen, Et, Nai, Ten..." Cute kan? Mulot diye petah bercakap...
Back home, we waited for hubby who was returning home from his "solat terawih"... By the time we got ourselves ready for supper, little Asyura was widely awake, so we decided to bring her along with us... We agreed to have our late night supper at Changi Village Hawker Centre but found out that the place was temporarily closed down for renovation... pfft... On our way out from the carpark, we saw a number of transvestites, about 10 or 12 of them... Gosh!! They look freaky... I mean, imagine a man who has had his inner and outer physical appearance changed in order to become a woman, that sort of thing... OMG!! That's freaky... Hubby got a nice "goodbye waive and a smile" from a few of them who were standing along the road together with the other transvestites... I was laughing my heart out coz hubby was like, "Eeeeee... Tengok Ummi...!! Ya Allah!! Geli nye aku... Badan macam jantan... Make-up tebal... Sempat lambai tangan lagi... Senyum-senyum pulak tu... Ya Allah... Berdiri bulu roma aku... Geli siol..." lol... It was freaking funny...!!
So our journey for late night supper had brought us to Simpang Bedok where we had a nice feast. We ordered Plain Rice, BBQ Stingray, Stir-Fried Broccoli with Prawns & Stir Fried Chicken Cutlet Wrapped in Egg Omelette... Very delicious... We ate to our hearts content... Alhamdulillah... We arrived home at 2.45 in the wee morning... Slept at half past 3 and had to wake up at 7.30am for work... And this morning, we were both late for work coz we woke up at 8.30am instead... lol...

One more thing... Today is little bro, Syafiq's birthday... And as promise, I'll be dedicating a nice poem for the birthday boy... So, "Happy Birthday to Adek Shafiq kite!! Stay happy-go-lucky always OK!! Since kau pandai masak kan, kau masak kan Kak Lily & Abang Rizal a good meal one day... Or no, wait, perhaps we'll do a gathering where Sufi, Alep, Lala & JAMILAH will be around for you to cook ALL of us a great meal... Kau kan Chef... Masak pon mesti sedap gilerrrrr... Mwahahahaha!!" So here goes your little poem and I hope you like it as much as I do... Have a wonderful birthday bash!! :)
Another year's gone by...
We’re older than we used to be;
The thought could make me cry...
When there’s hurting in your back,
And it’s agony if you have to run,
And a pleasure to lie in the sack...
But to not get old is worse...
So "Happy Birthday!" let’s shout once more,
Stay true to those you adore!!

A Message By George Carlin...
May the impact of the profound truths written by the late George Carlin (Comedian of the 70's & 80's), be influential in opening our eyes and making changes in our day to day living...
A message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways but narrower viewpoints... We spend more but have less... We buy more but enjoy less... We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences but less time... We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge but less judgement, more experts yet more problems, more medicine but less wellness...
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much and pray too seldom...
We have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values... We talk too much, love too seldom and hate too often...
We've learned how to make a living but not a life... We've added years to life not life to years... We've been all the way to the moon and back but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour... We conquered outer space but not inner space...
We've done larger things but not better things...
We've cleaned up the air but polluted the soul... We've conquered the atom but not our prejudice... We write more but learn less... We plan more but accomplish less... We've learned to rush but not to wait... We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever but we communicate less and less...
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships... These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses but broken homes... These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw-away morality, one night stands, overweight bodies and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill...
It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom... A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...
Remember to spend some time with your loved ones because they are not going to be around forever...
Remember to say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side...
Remember to give a warm hug to the one next to you because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent...
Remember to say "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you...
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday, that person will not be there again...
Give time to love, give time to speak!! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind...
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
Isn't it amazing that George Carlin could write something so very eloquent... and so very appropriate...?

What A Great Sunday... & A Happy 19th Birthday to Cousin Sufi!!

I got little Asil to bathe in his "rub-a-tub-tub" after the hair cut... Managed to take some pictures of him happily playing in the puddle of water... He looked so happy...
Soon after that, hubby, babies and I, we got ourselves ready coz we'll be going to Geylang as I wanna buy some stuffs there before we headed down to Marina Square where we iftar-ed at SEOUL GARDEN RESTAURANT... Woo hoo!!
You know we got ourselves lost in the freaking mall for like half and hour to 40 mins before reaching the restaurant... I mean, the freaking place is so freaking huge... We asked people around and all... OMG!! So embarrassing... Name je orang Singapore tapi tak tahu jalan... lol... Laki bini tak tahu jalan... But we managed to find our way at last...!! Had such a wonderful time there... Alhamdulillah... Just us and the babies...
Pictures uploaded...
Oh oh!! Wait a minute!! Nearly forgot!! Today's Cousin Sufi's birthday and being a good cousin sister I am, I would like to wish my little cousin brother a VERY HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY!! Here's a little poem for you...
Or tallying the years,
Contemplate your blessings,
As your birthday nears.
Who love you, and who care,
And others who’ve enriched your life
Just by being there.
Passing years can never mar,
Experiences great and small
That have made you who you are.
So cut your cake, and say,
"Instead of counting birthdays,
I count blessings every day!"

An Evening Spent At The Hospital...

So after work on Saturday, got home, hubby and I rested for a while before getting ready to visit Cik Yati and her baby in the hospital...
Iftar was spent at the hospital itself... Food was pretty "OK" for me... Both hubby and I ate rice, mixed vegetables with sweet and sour chicken... I was quite pissed off coz most of the stalls there served food with the "NO PORK NO LARD" signs in them instead of the "HALAL CERTIFIED" logo from the MUIS... Nak makan Yong Tau Foo tak bole, tak de sijil Halal... Nak makan Nasi Ayam, Fishball Noodle, Popiah Basah pon tak bole, same thing... TAK DE SIJIL HALAL... The only stall that had a "HALAL CERTIFIED" logo was the one that I mentioned earlier (the one with the rice and mixed vegetables)... pfft... OK la, I'm grateful that at least we got food to eat... :)
So after iftar, we headed up to the ward and on our way there, Baby Asil fell off from the stroller (tak bole diam, berdiri kat stroller instead of sitting)... Alhamdulillah nothing happened... Met up with "SHAKEIR" (my freaking cousin from the mom's side of the family whom I've been so pissed off with since the day he stole stuffs from my mom's crib - bloody hell) and the Grams, Nenek Habsah... Wak Lan and Sharith were there too... Oh oh and Cik Yati's eldest sister (I don't know her name but I just called her "CIK")...
I tell you, the baby girl was sooooooooooo darn cute and adorable... Kecik molek dan comel skali... Ni yang buat aku nak ade baby lagi ni... Seriously, baby Tuty Nur Syafirah cute gilerrr... Macam baby doll...
We left the hospital at about 10 plus in the evening... Sent Cik Yati's sister home coz she happens to stay in Yishun too...
