Made By Ummi Lily Ash Burn...

The babies went to bed early yesterday while hubby went out for his weekly night class... And I, was left alone at home watching Japanese Anime (you see, I have this "thing" for Japanese Anime)... pfft...

Then something struck my mind...

I took my "Accessories Tool Box" out from the cupboard and did one of the things that I do best... Handmade Accessories!! Woo hoo!! It's been a while since I last made any... sheesh... If I'm not wrong, it was eversince I gave birth to little Asyura (issssh!! lame la sei)...

I've made a bunchful of accessories but they aren't meant for sale... From earrings, necklaces, bracelets and even to the simplest-cute-little-tiny handphone accessories that we attached onto our handphones...

Mostly, I gave these finished pieces to my mom... And she'll go all smiley, walking around to wedding functions with the accessories that I made (satu set lagi aku buat untok mak aku)... hee hee... But I do make an exception to make accessories for my fellow friends... To them, it would be nicer to have something that would go along well with their outfits and could be worn on certain functions and occasions...

Eversince Aunt Mama Yang had introduced me into this handmade accessories, beading and stuffs, it has been one of my hobbies during spare time... Hubby suggested that I should start a mini little e-business by selling them... Perhaps I could consider but not at the moment coz it's pretty time-consuming for a mother of 2 like me (not forgetting my work load in the office)... At home, I'm only free to do whatever I want when the babies are asleep...

Even though my schedule is pretty hectic than usual, my life is pretty much more fun and cheerful having little Asil and Asyura around... =)

For You, Kak Ann... (As Promised)

With regards to Kak Ann's blog entry on "Patience Is A Virtue"...

OK, I promised Kak Ann (aka Shopaholic Mama) that I'll tell her what I do with selfish and idiotic office colleagues who don't even take the initiative in showing some courtesy towards others...

I've ever had experience with office colleagues who didn't even bother to help out with the tidiness in the office, pantry, and stuffs... Plus, I've ever had my own tissue box (that I place on my office desk) being taken!! Yes!! Taken without my freaking permission!! Some of these office colleagues of mine, they took my tissue without my permission, emptied the content and just simply leave the empty box on my desk without even taking the initiative to throw it into the rubbish bin... Freakin lazy ass humans!! Urrgggh!! Talk about living in a "civilised world" (yeah right).... pffft... There are still some uncivilised humans living among us, you know... Uncivilised, selfish and low mannered...

I got soooo sick and tired of having the boss complaining to me, asking who the bloody hell was responsible for making a mess at the pantry and not taking the initiative to keep the place clean , not refilling the electric flask and reboil the water, not tidying up the fridge properly bla bla bla...

So what did I do? I wrote a cute note (filled with a little sarcasm), print it out and paste it right on the fridge plus I even e-mailed the print-out to every single one in the office including my bosses... And yes!! It did give an impact to those selfish and lazy colleagues of mine; A smack in their faces... Suke aku!!

This was what I wrote:

Dear Colleagues,

Kindly take the initiative to...

• Replenish the can drinks in the refrigerator.

• Keep the refrigerator well clean, neat and maintained.

• Refill and boil the water in the electric flask.

• Keep the pantry clean and treat it like your own mini little kitchen.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and consideration...

THINK... KEEP THIS PLACE CLEAN AND ORDERLY...

So to my dear Kak Ann... Do what I do... OK? "Kill them" calmly and silently... They will definitely feeeeeel the impact...

A Pleasant Sunday...

As Salam peepz,

As you all know, my mini little family would normally visit places where there would be nice views to see and nice food to eat... And since it's been a while since we last had dinner down at the Sembawang Bottle Tree Village (somewhere in the old Sembawang neighbourhood), hubby suggested on going there...

We had a little picnic by the beach before having our dinner...

Why we love the Sembawang Bottle Tree Village? Coz the place reminds us of the old Kampong (village) days of old Singapore... Its full of warmth and coziness... The food there is FAN-TAS-TIC... "Halal" food is serve on the 2nd floor, so fellow Muslim brothers and sisters won't have any problem when it comes to eating... The service is great!! And the best thing is, it's situated right beside the sea, overlooking Malaysia... So you could enjoy your food and the wonderful scenery both at the same time... =)

There's a Fish Spa... A medium size pool with fishes in it... You only need to pay a little fee to go into the fish spa... Just soak your bare foot into the pool and the fishes would do the work for you... Nibbling on your foot... It's some sort of like a foot therapy thingy...

There's a mini little Fish Pond with lots of small little guppies and other tiny fishes in it... The same thing, you'll only need to pay a little fee... They will provide you with free fishing net and a fish tank, and you could catch as many fishes as you like... If you have kids and are afraid that your kids might feel bored just by hanging around at the Sembawang Bottle Tree Village, this fish-catching activity is really, really suitable for your kids...

Oh and there's this Prawn Fishing activity as well...

I strongly encourage fellow friends to spend some time at the Sembawang Bottle Tree Village with their family... It's a great place to chill...

We left for Sembawang Park yesterday...

It's been a while since we last brought little Asil and Asyura to the playground... Both of them were pretty much excited about the family outing... We had mom and my bro, Adam tagging along...

God Determines Who Walks Into Your Life...

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "How do I know if I marry the right person?"

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer...

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse / partner . You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit).

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called 'falling' in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept off my feet." Think about the imagery of that __ expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else.
You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't 'find' LASTING love. You have to 'make' it day in and day out. That's why we have the __ expression 'the labor of love.' Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... You can 'make' love.

Love in marriage is indeed a 'decision'.. . Not just a feeling.

Remember this always:

"God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go..."

I mean, I do not have issues with my hubby coz I love him for what he is and I hope my love for him will stay that way forever till akhirat (insya'allah... amin) but well, you know, this entry somehow inspires me to be a better Muslimah not only to my husband alone but also to those around me...

Remembering Those Days When We Were Still Dating...

OK, this will be a short post... I've uploaded some pictures of hubby and me while we were taking a little stroll at a neighbourhood park after work... hee hee... Macam time baru2 dating gitu... Terune dan dare... Tapi skarang title da tuka la sei... Bapak budak dan mak dare... ahahaha!!

I've no idea what's this park called but I find the place pretty cool for a hang out... Lots of flowers and greenery... Birds chirping la... Kids cycling la... Nice place to chill...

This Is Waaaaay Disgusting & Cruel...

OK... This is a "MUST-update" kind of entry...

As usual, Aunt Jonah would always e-mail me all sorts of useful infos and tips on certain issues and stuffs... But while I was browsing thru my e-mail, I found this one VERY freaking disturbing...

It totally sends goosebumps all over my body... bleurghh!!

I'm not pretty sure whether to believe it or not...

Pictures of live pigs being tattooed all over their bodies, slaughtered for their skins and then transformed into tattooed pig leather handbags...

Gosh!! They shouldn't be doing that tattooing and stuffs to those pigs!! What a cruelty to animals la sei...!! Hey!! Animals have feelings too you know!!

I thought this info might be useful... Therefore, I would like to share it with y'all (especially to my fellow Muslim friends out there who loves to shop for handbags and nothing but handbags macam aku ni)...

Korang bace and faham kan gamba kat dalam entry ni betol2... Bulu rome aku tros naik serte merte la sei bile tengok gambe ni sume... So take your own sweet time to watch my SLIDE...

April 6th - Sentosa Fever (Day 3)...

As Salam peepz!!

What a lovely Sunday afternoon... hmmm... The weather is moist and cozy... It's drizzling here at my workplace... Yup!! I'm working today and yes, it feels good to be working all alone in the office... Less phone calls... Less noise... Aman siket...

Lunch for today is a hard boiled egg eaten with Tom Yam instant cup noodles (jempot makan sume!!)... I'm in no mood to eat a proper meal... Entah la... Tekak ni macam terase nak makan instant noodles pulak... hee hee...

OK, remember when I said there was a free complimentary ticket to the Pink Dolphin Lagoon? And we didn't even get to visit the dolphins on the very same day we went to the Underwater World? Well, who could resist a free ticket? Right?

So it turns out we went to Sentosa again on the very next day just to watch the Pink Dolphins... ahahaha!! And of course both of us, husband and wife were at work on Monday BUT we managed to take a half day off, got the babies ready and rushed all the way to see the dolphins... Maklom la, we had never seen a real life dolphin before... =)

The Dolphin Show was great... But I still wonder why would they call them the pink dolphins coz their bodies were actually partly pink-ish and grey-ish in colour with freckles all over... So I think they should call them the Freckle Dolphins... Yes? You know... Freckles all over... Get it?

April 5th - Sentosa Fever (Day 2)...

Remember what I said in my previous blog on how hubby had never been to the Singapore Underwater World before? Yes? And by the time we got there, it had already closed? Yes?

So OK...

Since hubby had been yearning so much to go to there and since it's gonna be his treat, so yeah... Our mini little family went to have another returned trip to Sentosa Island again on the very next day... =) Woo hoo!!

Guess how much does a ticket cost? It costs SGD$22.90 la sei... But it comes with a free complimentary entry to the Pink Dolphin Lagoon... It's a good thing that the babies were allowed to enter for free... And guess what time did we arrive at the Underwater World? We arrived there at 6pm... And what time will the Pink Dolphin Lagoon be closed to the public? 6pm la sei!! And I'm like, "Baba!! I've a good news and a bad news... The good news is we have a free complimentary entry to the Pink Dolphin Lagoon to see the dolphins..."

Baba, "Whoaaaa... Gerek sei... Bole tengok pink dolphins for free..."

Me, "The bad news is... It's already closed to the public at 6pm... Gosh!! We missed it la sei!!"

Baba, "Huh? What? Pukol brape tempat dolphins tu tutop?"

Me, "Pukol 6 la..."

Baba, "Ummi, it's already 6pm now... What a waste sei..."

Me, "Tu la... Tapi tak pe... This complimentary ticket is valid till the next day, April 6th..."

Baba, "But we're both working on the next day... It's gonna be Monday..."

Me, "Shit... Yeah, you're right... Forget it then... pfft..."

So off we went into the Singapore Underwater World... But I still kept the complimentary tickets though, just in case... hee hee... I tell you, my hubby, he was pretty excited to be there (dengan aku skali tersampok)... Even the babies were fascinated with the sea creatures found there...

Thanks for the treat Baba!! Mmmmmuah!! Caaaaayang diye... Lain kali my turn pulak blanje you K? This time I blanje you naik Singapore Flyers... Insya'allah...

April 4th - Sentosa Fever (Day 1)...

We had dinner at Burger King (FYI: We have NOT been to BK eversince we got married and eversince we had little Asil & Asyura... lol...)... And gosh!! Do I miss my favourite BK Chicken Sandwich... slurp...

It's really been a long time since we last ate at Burger King... And while the Baba made his way to a nearby mosque for his solat, the Ummi did a little "cam-whoring" with little Asil... Little Asyura on the other hand was in her dreamland... hee hee...

Actually, our plan after dinner was to hang out at Clarke Quay, sit by the Singapore River with the babies and admiring the night view there... But we ended up going to Sentosa Island after the Isyak prayer instead... It was a "last minute" plan thingy...

We managed to pass by the Singapore Flyer and take a few shots of it... Gosh!! That wheel thingy was HUGE!! My next target is to drag the hubby and babies there one day... mwahahaha!!

And off we went to Sentosa for the very first time too (FYI again: The last time we went to Sentosa was actually way back during our teenage years... ahahahah!! I was 16 and hubby was 18... Tengah dating as a couple gitu kan...) Imagine that!! 12 years of NOT visiting Sentosa!! Whoaaaaa!! Lame giler la sei... And imagine what would happen to a couple who have NOT been into Sentosa for 12 freaking years and all of a sudden, now married with 2 lovely babies, they decided to make their way there? Yes!! Da macam katak di bawah tempurong la sei... We looked like a pair of frogs living in a well and for the very first time, this pair of frogs decided to get themselves out of the well and explore the outside world... ahahaha!! So embarrassing...!! Husband and wife sesat skejap kat Sentosa tu... lol...

The Baba (speaking to the Ummi), "Eh! Ummi!! Wahhh!! Ade Merlion la... Lawa sei... Besar sei... Cantek eh?"

The Ummi (speaking to the Baba), "Ah ah la sei... Lawa la sei... Baba, ni kat tempat mane ni you da gi masok? Kite da macam sesat ni... Da masok lorong gelap la ni... Kiri kanan hutan ni..."

The Baba, "Rilek2... Jangan takot dan jangan kancong...Kite da kat mane ni? Tak pe tak pe... I'll make a u-turn..."

Then we came to this area (forgotten the name of the place) where the Singapore Underwater World was located at... Hubby was getting pretty excited coz he's never been to Singapore Underwater World before (kesian hubby aku, seumor hidop diye tak pernah pegi sane)...

The Baba (getting pretty excited), "Waaaah!! Ummi ade Underwater World la... Waaaah!! Ade ikan, ade turtle, ade stingray lagi... Waaaah!! Ade patong Shark lagi... Waaaah!!"

But too bad it was already closed by the time we got there... Dan kerane tak nak menghampekan harapan suamiku yang tercinte, we managed to take some pictures at the entrance of the place... Tak dapat masok, amek gamba kat luar entrance pon jadi... hee hee...

I See A Rainbow...

As salam peepz!!

OK, I've been very busy lately...

Busy with work (end month closing and stuffs)... Busy occupying the time with my family especially with my adorable babies... Blogshop pon sampai skarang tergendale gilerrrrr (had to plan everything all over again)... And most importantly, there wasn't any time for blogging!! Arrrgggh!! Sungguh aku merindui blog tersayang aku ni... Mmmmmmuah!!

My mini little family went to Sentosa Island for 3 consecutive days (bayangkan kitorang ulang alek, to and fro)... I've yet to publish about it in my blog coz pictures aren't ready for uploading at the moment... So that's gonna come in a little bit later... =)

Oh!! And OMG!! OMG!! In my entire life of seeing a rainbow, this is the first time I've caught one on camera a few days back (kesian aku ni... mcm orang yakon gitu kan... maklom la, 1st time caught a rainbow on camera)!! Woo hoo!! Soooo exciting!!

Oh!! And I managed to take a few pictures of the sky during a sunset... Masya'allah!! Ini la kebesaran Allah s.w.t (tiade tandingan nye)...
